TDJ: Yanina Erramuspe (Buenos Aires)
Yanina has been immersed in the world of tango for 29 years—first as a dancer, then as a teacher, and eventually as a DJ. Her journey in tango has been shaped by deep dedication and the guidance of two legendary maestros: Jorge Di Giapari, who also trained her as a DJ, and the iconic Carlos Gavito.
As a teacher and coach, Yanina is widely respected, working with some of the most renowned tango couples in the world, including World, Italian, and Metropolitan Champions. Holding a degree in psychotherapy, along with master’s degrees in couples and sports psychology, she brings a unique, holistic approach to her teaching. Her lessons are celebrated for their depth, combining technique, musicality, communication, and embrace work, along with elements of tango history—offering students a complete and enriching experience.
Her DJing journey began 13 years ago in the milongas of Buenos Aires, born as a personal challenge. After moving to Rome, she began to cultivate DJing as one of her professional paths, eventually becoming a fixture at tango events throughout Argentina and Europe.
What sets Yanina apart is her deep understanding of tango culture from all angles. Her experience as a dancer and teacher allows her to stay closely connected to the energy of the dance floor—sensing its rhythm, emotions, and needs. She never uses pre-prepared playlists; instead, she selects music in the moment, guided by her intuition and years of studying tango music and living the milonga experience from within.
