TDJ: Kostas Poulos (Frankfurt)
Originally from the beautiful island of Rhodes in Greece, Kostas is a passionate tango dancer and DJ. He first discovered the captivating world of Argentine tango a decade ago in Thessaloniki. Over the years, he has immersed himself deeply in tango’s culture and music, developing a refined understanding of, and appreciation for, its rich history and emotional expression.
Four and a half years ago, he moved to Frankfurt am Main in Germany, where he quickly became an active member of the local tango community. His dedication to the dance and enthusiasm for it have allowed him to connect with fellow dancers and share his passion on the dance floor. Two years ago, he expanded his involvement in the tango scene by stepping behind the turntables as a DJ. Starting with small milongas around Frankfurt, he honed his ability to curate musical journeys that resonate with dancers.
His musical selection is deeply rooted in the Golden Age of tango, a period renowned for its iconic orchestras and timeless compositions. At the same time, he embraces newer orchestras and contemporary sounds, blending tradition with innovation to create a diverse and engaging atmosphere. His carefully curated tandas guide dancers through an emotional journey, balancing energy and intimacy throughout the evening.
Thanks to his growing reputation and distinctive style, Kostas has moved beyond the local scene and is now regularly invited to DJ at larger events across Frankfurt, Germany, and beyond. His ability to read the floor and connect with dancers has made him a highly sought-after figure in the tango community.

About Leonie & Jan: Leonie and Jan have been dancing and teaching tango in Frankfurt for several years. You can find them for example in the Tangolabor or in the Unisport of the Goetheuni as co-trainers. From 2017 to 2020 Leonie & Jan also organized the Milonga Libre and other smaller festivals with guest teachers in the former afip! in Offenbach.
In the meantime, they have found a new tango home for themselves with the Frankfurt Tango Society and also organize together with other friends and the support of the FTS and Fabiana Jarma the Milonga Delirio in the Academia in Frankfurt’s Ostend.
