TDJ: Ricardo “小谭哥” Tan (Shanghai, CN)
Having started playing music in the milongas of Beijing in 2010, Ricardo has both witnessed and influenced the early tango scene in China. After moving to his hometown of Shanghai in early 2014, he quickly became a sought-after tango DJ, frequently performing at all the major local tango venues.
Ricardo’s work is driven by his own experience as a milonga dancer and his desire to serve the floor with the most danceable and enjoyable arrangements. Golden Age tango forms the strong base of his repertoire, with occasional excursions into earlier and later years, played at the right moment and for the right people.
Besides entertaining the local Shanghai milongas, he also enjoyed working for national and international tango events, both as a tango DJ and as a lecturer on DJing.

About Sepideh: Sepideh, originally from Iran, began her tango journey in 2014 when she spent 4 months in Buenos Aires. In 2016 she decided to move to Argentina where she could study with some of the best tango teachers in the world. The teachers who have most influenced her as a dancer and teacher are Ana Maria Schapira, Graciela González and Ricardo Viqueira.
Sepideh started teaching tango in Buenos Aires in 2018, focusing mainly on connection, technique and role change. However, after 8 years of living there, she and her partner Juan moved to Germany at the end of 2023. She now hopes to share her knowledge and love of tango with the European tango community, especially those in the Frankfurt/Wiesbaden area.
