La Tardecita – Oktober 2025

La Tardecita

TDJ: Karel Yon (Paris, FR)

Karel is a tango dancer based in Paris with 15 years’ experience. He started out as a DJ in the late 2010s and has since performed in milongas and marathons all over France, Europe and beyond. Guided by his own dancing preferences, his DJ sets combine energy and melodic richness.

He is always looking for ways to provide dancers with the best music selection and sound quality. Karel also likes to explore the range of emotions that tango evokes, because it is not just a dance of sadness; it is also full of joy and contrasts.

Despite spending a lot of time searching for “tango gems”, he always returns to the fundamentals of social tango: the orchestras of the golden age and themes around which every dancer can find a familiar embrace or experience a new encounter.

Antitecnica Workshop by Graciela Gonzalez

Graciela González is a world-renowned maestra who is particularly known for combining her pedagogical approach with the elegance of the tango salon.

Her teachers included some of the most legendary names in tango, including Pupi Castello, her most influential teacher, with whom she formed a dance/teaching partnership lasting 19 years), Pepito Avellaneda, Antonio Todaro, Gustavo Naveira, Juan Bruno, Teté, Martha Antón, El Gallego Manolo, El Turco José, Lampazo and Eduardo Pareja, Eduardo Pareja, Gerardo Portalea, Cacho Pistola, Nito, Elba, and many others.

Graciela’s teaching method is completely innovative. As a result of her continuous study of body language and analysis of corporal sensations while dancing with Milongueros, her method focuses on one objective:
to encourage a natural posture through corporal sensations and muscle memory. She helps Students of all levels can develop more natural movements through postural and technical exercises. Ultimately, she helps each dancer to develop their own style.

What is Antitecnica?
This workshop focuses on restoring the body’s natural movements, helping students to realise how their body can move naturally, without the necessity to resort to movements that are not functional and could potentially hurt the body. The Antitecnica workshop truly reflects Argentine tango. Tango is for everyone and you don’t need to transform your body in order to dance. Instead, you need to focus on enjoying the embrace and the music.
