La Tardecita – September 2025

La Tardecita

TDJ: Rashmi Singh (Luxembourg)

The moment Rashmi heard her first tango in India seven years ago, she was hooked! Not just by the rhythm, but by the stories the music told. Her passion for dancing led her to an incredible journey that soon saw her taking to the DJ desk with unbridled enthusiasm. She was completely captivated by the rich tradition and emotional depth of tango. She threw herself into the music and its history, learning from the best tango historians and building a carefully curated collection of Golden Age gems.

Rashmi is now based in Luxembourg. She has played at milongas, marathons and festivals across Europe, including in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Belgium, Norway, Luxembourg and France. Her goal when DJing is simple: to fill the dance floor, maintain the momentum and finish the night with smiling, satisfied dancers.

With her traditional yet dynamic style, she effortlessly reads the room, creating tandas that flow and cortinas that lift, pulling everyone into the atmosphere. Always in tune with the ronda, she doesn’t just play for the dancers — she dances with them. Rashmi knows how to throw an epic tango party, and she can’t wait to bring that energy to La Tardecita.

Tango Class: Y’amour and Alexandros

Time: 14:00 – 14:55
Price: included in the milonga price, no registration required!

Meet Alexandros and Y’amour, a dynamic duo united by their passion for dance and their desire to share the magic of tango. Their collaboration combines two unique journeys, blending artistry, technique, and heartfelt connection into every class and performance.

Alexandros’s path in dance is as eclectic as it is inspiring. Beginning with the disciplined elegance of Georgian ballet, he later explored the expressive energy of hip hop before ultimately finding his true home in tango. This diverse background gives him a distinctive style that merges precision with creativity, discipline with freedom. His approach to tango is infused with this rich tapestry of experiences, making his teaching both unique and deeply engaging.

Y’amour brings not only extensive experience as a tango dancer but also a strong foundation in pedagogy and psychotherapy. This combination allows her to approach tango in a holistic way, addressing not only technique and musicality but also the emotional and interpersonal dimensions of the dance. Her insight into communication, connection, and body awareness makes her guidance particularly enriching for dancers of all levels.

Their paths crossed at La Tardecita in Frankfurt, where their shared love for tango and their complementary strengths sparked an exciting collaboration. Together, they strive to create a learning environment that is both fun and profound—where dancers can develop technical skills while also exploring the deeper emotional and artistic layers of tango.
