In this magic March, our La Nochecita and La Tradecita are being reunited, thanks to a lucky constellation in calendar. Together they become the Long Tango Weekend, hosted by Frankfurt Tango Society.
La Nochecita: DJ Thes Obhof (Karlsruhe / Germany)
My aim is entchanting the dancers for some hours with the beauty of Tango. I stick to the motto a wise man once wrote, regardless what the night might bring: La vida es una milonga y hay que saberla bailar. Music and dance have always been an important part of my life, after falling in love with Tango it was just a matter of time to start playing in Milongas. I prefer the music of the Golden Age accompanied by 1930’s Tangos and spiced with a little dose of the 50’s to make the people dance… and to round things up: never underestimate the Cortinas!
La Tardecita: DJ Elisabetta Piro (Palermo / Italy)
Elisabetta Piro comes from Palermo (Italy). She started developing the love for tango music in 2010. Today she is an established part of international djs, regularly invited to many European capitals as well as to Argentina. Her tandas are typically based on the traditional orchestras of the golden age of tango.
